This past week we sat down with our farm friend Captain Crunch for a quick interview about #swamplife and what he\u2019s been up to this summer at Alligator Alley. He shared with us his best #alligatoralleyadventure and we snapped a few headshots of him before he snapped into his lunch! Check him out!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a quick update before we dive into his Q&A: Captain is in his late 30s, he\u2019s 13\u20192\u201d and 800+ pounds \u2013 now that\u2019s what we call a big fella!<\/p>\n

Q: We hear you have a world record for bite strength – what\u2019s your favorite food to munch on?<\/p>\n

A: Anything I can get close to! Top favorite \u2013 feral pig leg (but not from my friends on the farm!<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Q: Where\u2019s your favorite sunbathing spot?<\/p>\n

A: I prefer to be alone in the swamp covered in mud<\/a>\u00a0and scouting out my next meal. I don\u2019t typically bask in the sun\u2026 unless there\u2019s snacks.<\/p>\n

Q: How did you earn the name \u201cCaptain Crunch\u201d?<\/p>\n

A: I own this place, so the name Captain is quite fitting. The \u2018Crunch\u2019 doesn\u2019t need an explanation, right?<\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s the biggest adventure you\u2019ve been on at Alligator Alley?<\/p>\n

A: I\u2019d tell you, but then I\u2019d have to\u2026 Just kidding. I\u2019d say the wildest adventure I\u2019ve tackled during my time in the swamp would be stealing all the food at the live feedings from all the other alligators! They know to back off when Captain\u2019s hungry. Speaking of hungry\u2026<\/p>\n
